ties and rate spaces with a meaningful accessibili
ty and human-centered perspective. Through the app
lication of the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibili
ty Certificationâ„¢ (RHFAC) methodology\, you will l
earn practical skills needed to measure the access
ibility of existing sites and incorporate a Univer
sal Design lens to your new construction or renova
tion projects. Enhance your skills and demonstrate
your commitment to access and inclusion by taking
this 8-week course.
You must complete and s
uccessfully pass this course as one of the require
ments to qualify for your RHFAC Professional desig

Course at a Glance
This i
s a fully online\,Ìýpaced course.
This cour
se is 8 weeks in length\, requiring a commitment o
f approximately 60 hours orÌý 7 to 8 hours per week
. Time varies depending on learners.
The R
HFAC Professional Training consists of 6 modules o
n core competencies and 12 mini-modules focused on
applying the RHFAC rating system.
This co
urse includes weekly two-hour live virtual session
s and online discussions facilitated by an RHFAC i
nstructor.Ìý Learners are required to attend the li
ve sessions and must inform their instructor if th
ey cannot attend. Sessions will be recorded but at
tendance of live sessions is required.
The
course will be graded based on quizzes\, required
course learning activities\, and final course ass
ignment submission.
Learners will be issue
d a certificate and a badge upon successful comple
tion of the course\, which qualifies them to write
the RHFAC Professional exam. Learners have 6 mont
hs from receiving their certificate to complete th
e RHFAC Professional exam.
