Laurentian Celebrates opening of McEwen School of Architecture

The RCMP is replacing the name-and-birth based criminal record check process with a new criminal record check using mandatory electronic fingerprints.

Starting February 1, the new process will apply to any organization that works or intends to work on Government of Canada contracts with security requirements that have been issued by or will be issued by Public Services and Procurement Canada.

The awards recognize excellence in the design and execution of Canadian residential and non-residential buildings of all types. Winning projects will be published in the summer issue of SABMag and at .

International sustainable design competition offers $2M (USD) prize

Entries in the 5th International LafargeHolcim Awards close on March 21. The competition seeks projects at an advanced stage of design from the fields of architecture, building and civil engineering; landscape and urban design; as well as materials, products and construction technologies. The awards also feature a category for visions and ideas of young professionals and students.
