RAIC has introduced a discount for newly licensed Architects. If you have become licensed in the last 12 months, you are eligible for one discounted year of full membership at $283. This is a savings of $152Ìýoff the regular member rate of $435.

Fee Waiver

The Fee Waiver can be considered for reasons including maternity/parental leave, long-term parenting/caregiving leave, sabbaticals, and other reasons that may temporarily affect one’s ability to pay membership fees due to financial hardship.Ìý

ConditionsÌý
  • A member requesting a waiver of fees due to parental leave will automatically be approved;Ìý
  • A member requesting a waiver of fees must be a member in good standing for at least one year prior to submitting the request;ÌýÌý
  • If granted, the waiver of fees will be applied for one calendar year (membership cycle);ÌýÌý
  • All fee waiver requests must be submitted using the online application form;ÌýÌý
  • A maximum of two fee waivers may be requested in a 5-year period;ÌýÌý
  • Fee waivers are subject to approval by the RAIC Chief Executive Officer.
Individuals who have been granted a fee waiver will retain rights, privileges, and member benefits with the RAIC.Ìý

Deferral Payment

The Fee Deferral can be considered for reasons including financial hardship, medical/compassionate leave, critical illness, and other reasons that may temporarily affect one’s ability to pay membership fees due to financial hardship.ÌýÌý

  • A member requesting a deferral of fees must be a member in good standing for at least one year prior to submitting the request;ÌýÌý
  • If granted, the deferral of fees will be applied for three months maximum;ÌýÌý
  • All fee deferral requests must be submitted using the ;ÌýÌý
  • A maximum of two fee deferrals may be requested in a 5-year period;ÌýÌý
  • Fee deferrals are subject to approval of the RAIC Chief Executive Officer.
